The Bible; Book of
Prophecy!
Introduction:
Unlike any other material in the world that calls itself 'Sacred', the
Bible alone is a Book of Prophecy. We associate the books of Daniel and
the Revelation with prophecy--and rightly so, but there is no book in the
entire Bible that does not contain prophecy or information that helps to
understand prophecy. The Psalms are more than poetry--they are full of
Prophecy. We tend to forget that Jesus was a prophet and so were the
Apostles, and even the Gospels and Epistles contain prophecy.
These prophecies were in force for the people in the time they were
written, but because the Bible is actually the work of the Holy Spirit,
it is a living word and every prophecy has become more and more current and urgent with each
passing generation until NOW all converge together to pour the greatest
light ever into the earth. We now live in the times that all prophecy
points to. The prophets themselves longed to see the days we now live in.
"Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are
written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come." 1
Corinthians 10:11
These messages were given, not as much for
those that uttered the prophecies, but for us who are living amid the
scenes of their fulfillment.
"Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently,
. . . Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us
they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that
have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from
heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. 1 Peter:10-12
The Prophetic Word lives and for all who will read and study with a desire
to know God and find Salvation in Him, it will pour forth truth in
a flood of light--while to those who want to cling to their own sinful
ways and seek only to find reasons to cast it away, the Bible becomes darkness to their
minds. The choice is ours-- Obey and walk in the Light--stubbornly disobey
and go into strong delusion and darkness. God reveals Himself and God
conceals Himself--it is our choice which we shall experience!
"If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine"
John 7:17
"We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that
ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day
dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that
no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the
prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God
spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost." 2 Peter:19-21
But realize that the Holy Scriptures are not dime-store tabloids with
prophecies to entertain and tickle the fancies of men, they are designed
to carry out the will and purpose of God Almighty! The whole Bible is one
story, one instruction book, one great prophetic panorama--it tells the
story of the
Great Controversy--the battle of Satan, the usurper, rebel against
God's Authority and His Law and how he has hijacked this planet and its
inhabitants. It shows the great sacrifice that Heaven has paid
to redeem the world and the human captives from the grasp of the cruel
dragon.
The aim of the entire Inspired Record is to bring us into a knowledge and
understanding of the Sovereign God of the Universe and help us to KNOW Him
so clearly that we will turn from every vestige of rebellion, sever
connections forever with the cruel adversary and his ways, and be
re-created by the Creator--made clean and white in the Blood of the Lamb
and become willing and fit subjects for His Eternal Kingdom.
In this section of Remnant Prophecy we intend to provide commentary and
insight into some of the most neglected and poorly understood parts of
Holy Writ and as you delve into these things it is our prayer that you will find rich veins of
golden ore where you may have seen only the dust of the ages. We will
present rich banquets from these books but at the same time, we will be
only scratching the surface of the treasure that is there. It is our
prayer that as you begin to see the Bible in it's true purpose and
glorious light, that your appetite will be whetted to partake of it more
and more, so that into your life and out from you to others will flow
Rivers of Living Water!
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John
8:32
"How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the
first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them
that heard him;" Hebrews 2:3
